Refresh 5

Refresh 4Refresh is a free café which is held in the church every Thursday morning between 10am and 12 noon. There is a friendly atmosphere and delicious real Fairtrade coffee, tea, hot chocolate and herbal teas. There is always a large array of homemade cakes, scones and biscuits. Come early if you’d like to try one of our popular cheese scones!Refresh 2

Refresh began in 2013 as part of the church’s desire to reach out to the town. Many people who live in Petersfield said they had never been into the church, so we wanted to give them a reason to walk through the door. With the central Market Square position of the church, a café seemed the perfect opportunity to welcome visitors to the town and shoppers. It has also had the marvelous effect of bringing the congregation together, enabling people who never had the chance to talk on Sundays, to get to know each other.

Refresh 1We are very grateful to the Diocese of Portsmouth, whose Mission Opportunity Fund provided the means to set up the café.
